#5 5/84 - Northamptonshire vs Durham, County Championship 2026
Playing for Northamptonshire against Durham in the County Championship Division Two 2026 clash at the County Ground in Northampton, Yuzvendra Chahal picked up a fifer in the second innings. He dismissed Alex Lees, David Bedingham, Matthew Potts, Callum Parkinson, and Ollie Robinson, returning figures of 5/84 from 26.5 overs.
Chahal bagged 4/36 earlier in the first innings as well. Despite his match-haul of nine wickets, Durham went on to win the game by 153 runs. Chasing a target of 203 in the final innings, Northamptonshire were bowled out for a paltry total of just 50 runs.
#4 5/81 - Haryana vs Andhra, Ranji Trophy 2016
In the Ranji Trophy 2016 clash between Haryana and Andhra at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Yuzvendra Chahal bagged five wickets in the first innings for Haryana. Andhra were bowled out for 253 as Chahal returned figures of 5/81 from 34.3 overs.
He accounted for the wickets of Prasanth Kumar, Koripalli Sreekanth, Dwaraka Ravi Teja, AG Pradeep, and Bhargav Bhatt. Chahal picked up three wickets in the second innings as well. However, Andhra went on to beat Haryana by 77 runs, successfully defending a total of 293.
#3 5/45 - Northamptonshire vs Derbyshire, County Championship 2024
Northamptonshire faced Derbyshire in the County Championship Division Two game at Northampton in 2024. After scoring 219 in the first innings, they bowled Derbyshire out for 165. Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers with a five-wicket haul.
The leg-spinner dismissed Wayne Madsen, Aneurin Donald, Zak Chappell, Alex Thomson, and Jack Morley, claiming figures of 5/45 from 16.3 overs. He bagged four wickets in the second innings as well. Northamptonshire beat Derbyshire by 133 runs.
#2 6/118 - Northamptonshire vs Derbyshire, County Championship 2025
Northamptonshire and Derbyshire faced in a County Championship Division Two match in 2025. Yuzvendra Chahal put up a brilliant show in the first innings, picking up six wickets and returning figures of 6/118 from 33.2 overs.
He dismissed Luis Reece, Harry Came, Brooke Guest, Zak Chappell, Ben Aitchison, and Blair Tickner. The leg-spinner got two wickets in the second innings as well. The game eventually ended in a draw.
#1 6/44 - Haryana vs Hyderabad, Ranji Trophy 2016
Yuzvendra Chahal registered his best first-class figures in the Ranji Trophy 2016 clash between Haryana and Hyderabad at Jamshedpur. Hyderabad were bundled out for 191 in the first innings. Chahal was the wrecker-in-chief with figures of 6/44 from 27 overs.
He sent Balchander Anirudh, Subramaniam Badrinath, Bavanaka Sandeep, Kolla Sumanth, Chama Milind, and Vishal Sharma back to the hut. Haryana won the game by eight wickets and Chahal was named 'Player of the Match' for his heroics with the ball.
