Yesterday's Match Result: Virat Kohli's 105* off 60 deliveries helped RCB past the target of 193 runs with 5 balls and 6 wickets to spare.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru returned to the top of the IPL 2026 table with their triumph over Kolkata Knight Riders at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur on Wednesday in a game delayed by rain.

Virat Kohli returned to form in style with an unbeaten century to help RCB past the target of 193 runs with 5 balls and 6 wickets to spare as Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s half-century went in vain.

RCB skipper Patidar won the toss and opted to field as Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen opened the innings for KKR. Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave his side the early breakthrough with the scalp of the latter for 18 off just 8 deliveries, before Josh Hazlewood sent KKR skipper Rahane back to the hut for 19 off 13 deliveries.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Cameron Green steadied the innings for the visitors as they notch dup a 68-run stand for the third wicket with the Indian youngster in full cry as he brought up his half-century.

Green added 32 runs off 24 balls before Rashik Salam removed the Australian from the crease as Rinku Singh came into the fray.

Rinku accompanied Raghuvanshi in the middle up until the end as KKR posted a total of 192 runs in 20 overs, with Rinku unbeaten on 49 off 29 deliveries while Raghuvanshi was run out on the very last ball of the innings after his fine 71-run knock.

Kohli started the chase alongside Jacob Bethell, who was caught and bowled by Kartik Tyagi after chipping in with 15 runs off 12 balls.

Devdutt Padikkal came out to steady the innings as Kohli, who was dismissed for a couple of ducks in his last two outings, returned to form in style with an aggressive half-century that pushed RCB into triple figures by the half-way mark of the second-innings.

Tyagi came back into the attack to break the stand with the wicket of Padikkal right after the strategic break for 39 off 27 balls, before the seamer welcomed Patidar with a fiery bouncer that hit the hosts skipper on the helmet. The RCB captain shrugged it off to add 11 runs before falling prey to the crafty Sunil Narine.

Manish Pandey pulled off arguably the catch of the tournament with an incredible take to remove Time David for 2 runs, before Kohli completed his 9th century in the IPL. The chase master took the hosts past the target in 19.1 overs as he stood unbeaten on 105 off just 60 deliveries.
