Hussey steps down from top cricket job
Former Australian star David Hussey is stepping down as Victoria’s head of male cricket after four years in the job for a role in global player and coaching development.

Hussey departs after overseeing a strong period for the men’s state team, in which they made three Sheffield Shield finals and a national one-day final, albeit without lifting silverware.

Appointed CV’s head of male cricket in September 2022, Hussey, 48, has decided it is time for a fresh voice in the program.

Hussey will remain with CV in what the state association describes as an “exciting new global venture”. The initiative involves setting up cricket academies in Melbourne, India and potentially the US.
