Dravid also reflected on India's performances in Test cricket under Gautam Gambhir. The team has done well in white-ball cricket, winning the ICC Champions Trophy and T20 World Cup, but performance has been equally bad in Tests, with the team suffering defeats at home to New Zealand and South Africa, and also losing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Dravid said that the retirements of big guns like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli
and R Ashwin had an impact, and showed optimism that the team will return to form with time.
